Pay Rate: $25.00 – $29.00

Job Description

Job Summary/Objective:

Provides support and guidance for all Youngsville facility Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts. Has a basic understanding of LEAN methodologies and a continuous improvement mindset. Through words and behaviors, emulates those philosophies to help build a LEAN culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and facilitate Lean projects throughout the facility. This could include assembling new tools/equipment, moving tools/equipment, preventative maintenance & light repairs to tools/equipment.

• Drive LEAN improvements in the facility to reduce costs, save time, improve EHSQ, increase efficiency, and eliminate waste. Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving methodology and principles within the area to improve operational performance.

• Participate on Kaizen events. Help establish current state, problem statements, and potential solutions

• Assist in baseline process improvements. Report to leadership on improvements and improvement opportunities.

• Promote a Culture of Zero by continuously monitoring safety rules and requirements (i.e. dress code/PPE/reporting requirements/machine guarding). Support the Site/Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety goals, objectives and values.

• Assist with development of safe work procedures and/or job hazard analyses. Participate in safety. initiatives

• Support the Site/Corporate Quality and Scrap Reduction goals, objectives and values. Support and drive scrap reduction techniques to assigned equipment/area.

• Communicate and educate employees in work area on product specification and benchmarks. Assist employees with required quality checks, sample testing or review and required calculations.

• Support the overall performance of the area to ensure that production activities occur as scheduled within the plan. Promote processes and standards within the assigned area.

• Maintain close liaison with plant leaders to ensure minimum downtime and waste and ensure effective utilization of staff throughout assigned area

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • High Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in lean manufacturing.
