Design, implement, monitor, and/or support business unit level processes or projects to ensure Entergy’s compliance with the NERC Reliability Standards. Such projects or assignments will involve working with peers within the Transmission, Power Generation, IT, Nuclear, SPO, CSO and Distribution organizations to implement Operations & Planning and Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) NERC Reliability Standards across Entergy. Support all aspects of the NERC Standards Life Cycle and develop/maintain program metrics and reporting. This position will also provide general subject matter expertise for procedures, training and support for other compliance programs within the department.


  • Implement Entergy’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program for the NERC Area of Compliance including supporting specific business unit GRC execution

  • Integrate information from compliance and business unit processes to identify, analyze, and report compliance status to internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop, implement and maintain NERC Compliance program dashboards, metrics and KPIs using technology and automation techniques

  • Work with the operations business units to design, develop, implement and monitor processes and controls that ensure ongoing compliance with the NERC Reliability Standards. Use project management skills to lead, coordinate and execute NERC compliance-related projects

  • Integrate new and revised NERC Reliability Standards into the compliance program by serving as a Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME)

  • Participate in industry related activities that focus on trends in or modifications to the NERC Reliability Standards

  • Other NERC Compliance Program support may include; NERC Reliability Standard policy and procedure administration; Regional Entity portal administration; NERC Office of Records support; Root Cause Analysis, Regulatory Audit support; Regulatory Enforcement Activities; Corrective Action Program support; Self-assessments and self-certifications of NERC compliance; and Event Reporting and Event Analysis using engineering and technical background


Minimum Education :

  • BS/BA Degree in a technical or business related field or equivalent work experience

  • Proficient technical expertise with computer software and database development

  • Skills in business process and/or technical analysis, problem solving and condition assessment

Minimum Experience :

  • Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience

  • Analyst II: 2-4 years of professional experience

  • Analyst III: 4-6 years of professional experience

  • 6+ years of experience in a related discipline is required for the senior analyst level

  • Preferred: Experience working in physical and/or cyber security related systems and processes, or experience working in transmission operations, engineering, or planning

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills and the ability to communicate information in both formal and informal settings required

  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player and/or leadership skills. Self-starter, independent worker, self-motivator

  • Preferred:

  • NERC Reliability Standard knowledge STRONGLY preferred

  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure protection with emphasis on physical and cyber security related systems and processes

  • Knowledge of electrical power delivery systems with particular emphasis on plant electrical power distribution systems

  • Power plant or transmission operations knowledge

  • Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position

  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record

  • Professional certification such as certified internal auditor (CIA), certification in risk management assurance (CRMA), certified information systems auditor (CISA), or Certified information systems security professional (CISSP)

Must be available for extended hours as necessary
