The Accountant is responsible for performing Accounting-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: entering general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports, and performing general analysis. This position supports the Operations team and works with other Accounting team members and personnel from all departments.
Perform general journal entries, ensuring accuracy of data.
Reconciling accounts such as Work in Process, Costs in Excess, Billings in Excess, Retainage, complex intercompany cash accounts and intercompany balances
Develop real estate and property tax accrual rates, as well as reconciling accounts
Develop and review equipment charge rates
Develop and allocate indirect overhead allocation rates
Develop processes and procedures for inventory receipts, issues, and transfers between warehouses
Create ad-hoc reports for management use, utilizing Oracle, OBIE, and other accounting software.
Analyze accounts that are reconciled and understand the accounting in Oracle of various steps.
Assist Finance Department support staff and answer questions from field offices.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 2 years of experience in Accounting.
Ability to work with and adapt to various computer software quickly.
Ability to handle multiple activities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 4 year of experience. (Construction industry preferred)
Knowledge of accounts payable GL systems and requirements.
Experience working with Excel and POC systems.
Experience in the construction industry.
