New York Power Authority Temporary Senior HR Project Coordinator in White Plains, New York


The HR Project Coordinator is responsible for projects and assignments that support the daily activities of the Human Resources Department. Under the guidance and supervision of the HR Project Development Director, the Project Coordinator supports cross-business unit/departmental special projects, coordinates and develops initiatives, and leads interdepartmental projects. The Project Coordinator supports the Project Director in implementing the Strategic Plan and performs certain administrative activities.


  • Must understand HR disciplines and working with confidential data.

  • Identify, collect and analyze data to create metrics and prepare presentations and reports

  • Knowledge of Engagement Survey and focus group data interpretation.

  • Coordinate projects and initiatives across the organization. Track project timelines, coordinate scheduling and monitor the progress of deliverables.

  • Draft reports, meeting agendas, and other duties related to meeting preparation.

  • Editing presentation material and/or training materials.

  • Partner with Compensation, Recruiting, Talent and Benefits departments to drive programs.

  • Supports Project Director with teambuilding preparation and activities, meeting setup and travel requests.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop and manage content for HR/related intranet sites.

  • Coordinate and monitor the execution of HR programs for deployment across all sites.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with SAP, preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to handle significant work load in fast paced environment with multiple projects, timelines and due dates.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Strong research and analytic skills in a variety of medium

  • Advanced knowledge of excel

  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Knowledge and understanding of corporate policies, procedures and business practices is preferred.

  • Capable of handling highly confidential information discretely and responsibly.

  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 3 years of increasingly responsible project support / analytic experience (with a focus on supporting projects, monitoring and reconciliation and report preparation).

  • Familiarity with HR functions preferred.
