New York Power Authority Temp Change Management Specialist in White Plains, New York
The Change Management Specialist will be part of NYPA’s Change Management team and play an important role in leading NYPA towards its vision for a thriving, resilient NY powered by clean energy.
The Change Management Specialist will lead and support a variety of important change projects by providing custom and standard tools, coaching, and other support. The Specialist will also lead and support overall Change Management training and awareness building activities within NYPA.
Intake and manage multiple large, complex change management workstreams and multiple projects.
Partner with senior leadership and senior stakeholders to understand change needs, requirements, risks, and coach through change.
Design and deliver custom strategies for enterprise wide change including change management plans, communications, and materials.
Project manage timelines and interdependences across multiple projects.
Manage and deliver internal change management training and awareness activities.
Develop and engage NYPA’s change agent network.
Manage portfolio of Change Management Tools and Materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skilled in applying a variety of change management models and solutions across varied and complex change management projects to develop compelling and creative change solutions.
Accustomed to quickly grasping change needs on large complex projects and topic areas.
Strong coach to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Experience delivering change and/or training related to use of Microsoft Office 365 including Teams; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; OneDrive is preferred.
Training delivery experience required, ideally this is specific IT related training experience.
Skilled in developing and applying change management measures and related analytic skills.
Skilled change workstream lead, and creative coach to help project team member understand change management requirements and solutions.
Comfortable with quickly understanding organizational processes, policies and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; as well as SharePoint and Tableau.
Strong understanding of the utility industry preferred.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Degree in Psychology, Organizational Psychology/Leadership, Communications or similar; graduate work a plus.
8+ years experience managing change management teams and activities.
Certification in Change Management, Coaching, Project Management, or related skillset strongly preferred.
Experience delivering change and/or training related to use of Microsoft Office 365 including Teams; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; OneDrive is preferred
MS Teams and SharePoint experience preferred.
