Eversource Energy Social Media Manager in Westwood, Massachusetts

( Social Media Manager will work to engage with the Eversource audience across our social channels, identify our online community’s developing needs, and look for opportunities to grow our social reach and brand awareness. This position will develop the company’s Social Media strategy in coordination with other Eversource teams, identify engagement opportunities with customers, regulators and government officials, and ensure consistency with our Social Care program.

The individual must be a creative independent thinker who thrives on rapid response and customer engagement opportunities.

The successful candidate will implement a social media strategy that broadens strategic communication and brand awareness goals, including but not necessarily limited to:

•Promote news hits, opinion editorials, and email campaigns

•Engage with media outlets and their journalists on social media

•Engage directly with our social media followers to develop an authentic sense of online community

•Increase engagement across the organization’s social channels

•Work closely with our ad agency to ensure all social-based advertising campaigns and other paid content are consistent with the look, feel and voice of our own unique, creative content

•Coordinate with all areas of the business to mine great stories and tell them effectively on social – with a focus on video and info-graphics

•Provide regular analytics reporting of social channel growth, engagement, and effectiveness of our social campaigns, with an emphasis creating new interactions

•Serve as the Eversource voice for the Massachusetts and corporate social media pages

•Identify new platforms, digital trends, and emerging best practices to to support increased engagement

•Collaborate with the Eversource Executive Communications team to support executive thought leadership opportunities

•Use social listening tools to closely monitor sentiment, as well as emerging issues and breaking news, to evaluate opportunities


  • Minimum of six(6)years of experiencewith integrated communications campaigns andsocial media, digital content, and its role in business communications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Direct experience using social media in a corporatecontext
  • Consumer experiencepreferred

  • Sound knowledge of communications disciplines, planning and strategy

  • Ability to work well underpressure
  • Desire and flexibility to engage duringall storms and emergencysituations
  • Sound judgment and analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of all social media platforms and corporate applications, specifically Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Strong knowledge of remote access tools for social media outlets

  • Knowledge of paid social media campaigns
  • Knowledge of social media editing tools and policies
  • Knowledge of Sprinklr social media management and listening toolpreferred
