Eversource Energy IT Domain Architect / Quality Engineering Leader in Westwood, Massachusetts

(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHmr45H8xZE)Eversource Energy is looking for a seasoned Quality Engineering Professional where you will bring your broad technical experience and leadership to help advance and scale Enterprise Quality Engineering practices. You will be responsible for supporting our Quality strategic vision, Test approaches, processes, frameworks, and tools for our Quality & Testing Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with Quality Engineering leadership and broader team to develop, deploy and advocate Testing standardization, Processes and Frameworks across the Enterprise.
  • Helps foster and pivot towards our vision to drive quality across all product lines and ecosystems.
  • Collaborates with Project Managers, Technology peers, business managers and staff to provide QA and Testing support from program/project kickoff to go-live.
  • Advocates a Shift Left quality approach taking Test Automation priority from the get-go. Ensures correct test automation approaches (UI, API, Data, Mobile) and pushes for right level of Test Automation penetration.
  • Helps drive transformation and innovation journey as we mature our Performance Testing practices and capabilities and provides necessary oversight and support in other horizontal services such as Test Environment Management and Test Data Management.
  • Helps evaluate and implement Test Management and Automation Tools in alignment with market trends.
  • Provides thought Quality leadership and oversight as needed.
  • Coordinates and oversees special quality initiatives in partnership with IT Project Management Office (PMO) and IT Enterprise Architecture (EA) to assure a fully integrated software delivery and support approach.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement.
  • Engages onsite and offshore resources to provide necessary support.

Experience and Skillsets

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant Test leadership experience in Technology
  • Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle and Software Testing methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience with modern Test Management Tools, Hands-On Test automation (TOSCA preferred) and broad array of DevOps Tools
  • Relevant experience with Cloud (AWS or Azure), Containers, Dockers, and Service Virtualization
  • Experience with Performance Testing, Test Data and Test Environment management
  • Agile experience (Scaled Agile or QA Chapter Leader experience a big plus)
  • Experience driving Testing Methodologies, Testing standards, governance, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Data Analytics space
  • Experience driving Managed Testing Services (in an onsite/offshore setup building QA-as-a-Service model)
  • Behavior Driven Development experience is nice to have
  • Experience in Technical Program Management, developing program strategies and execution a great plus
  • Industry recognized QA and/or testing certification is a plus.
  • Utility Space experience a plus
  • Works well under pressure as the role requires juggling multiple priorities and parallel initiatives with tight deadlines.

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Program from an accredited College/University

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, writing and typing. Work involves using a computer and telephone as well as personal communication.
