Eversource Energy Analyst, Energy Efficiency, Regulatory (Hybrid) in Westwood, Massachusetts
This position contributes to the strategic planning and improvement of the Company’s energy efficiency programs by analyzing program performance, conducting research on climate and energy policy, planning for future programs, and developing communications for both internal and external stakeholders. Coordinates, prepares, and monitors filings with regulatory bodies, provides technical regulatory support to internal business partners, and communicates with external parties regarding regulatory proceedings.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Essential Functions:
- Provide ongoing analysis of program performance to goal, identifying trends to help improve program design as needed.
- Work with members of the implementation staff to develop strategic approaches to program planning to support equity and decarbonization goals. This work requires incorporating changing public policy, recent program evaluation findings, and stakeholder input.
- Conduct analyses to determine the potential for additional demand-side load reductions in given geographic areas, to support the company's Non-Wires Alternative efforts.
- Assist with generation of materials for regulatory filings, both for energy efficiency and to support other areas of the Company, such as system planning and rates. To include developing draft responses, filings, testimony, briefs, and presentations.
- Help ensure alignment in regulatory filings across the Company’s service territory as they relate to energy efficiency, demand response, and electric mobility.
- Conduct research on industry trends and best practices in other jurisdictions to apply to Eversource's programs.
Qualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Knowledge of the utility regulatory environment in New England, preferably including experience with the regulatory filing process.
- Ability to think strategically across multiple filings and dockets.
- Ability and willingness to provide expert testimony before regulatory agencies, commissions, courts, and public forums.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in running queries in various systems and data gathering.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills including the ability to develop and give presentations before audiences of various sizes and technical backgrounds.
- Must be customer driven, display initiative, accepts responsibility, holds others accountable, participates in and facilitates team effectiveness, thinks, and acts analytically.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions to support the mission, work independently and apply knowledge and skill to solve problems.
- Ability to influence decisions based upon expertise and data.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience :
- Three (3) plus years related experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $84,000 - $93,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
