Responsibilities
Develops strategies to enhance operational workflow and enhance delivery of products by modifying logistics and creating and improving new and existing processes
Identifies training needs and develops ongoing training opportunities
Oversees the preparation of distribution engineering analyses, studies, and programs to determine needs for the existing system and future additions
Plans all aspects of analysis, along with the presentations and implementation strategies for any replacements, upgrades and rebuilds to company infrastructure in support of relocations, deteriorated poles, pole loading and grid modernization
Oversees the development of distribution line construction practices and engineering principles to make recommendations, influencing projects both within and outside of the department
Develops and implements improvement and execution processes that support the execution of performance and metrics
Provides support on interpretation of internal and external regulations, standards and codes in order to ensure the company is fully compliant, interpreting and applying existing and new engineering standards and designs
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Four or more years combined experience performing or supervising distribution work related tasks involving assets such as transformers, switches, and other equipment.
Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
B.S Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electronic Engineering.
Experience with distribution systems, specifically transformers and switches.
Knowledge with revenue metering instrument transformers.
Experience with SF6 or other insulating gas.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is on-site . The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

The primary work location for this position is the Westminster Combined Facility – Distribution Apparatus Shop. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at (alternate work location).
Position will require up to 60% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
Relocation does not apply to this position.
