Apply your technical expertise to provide support to the Field Operations team and help ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of our facilities.
What You Will Do:
Provide technical expertise, oversight, advice, and training to the Compression Operations and Maintenance teams.
Offer troubleshooting support and guidance to resolve outages safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Support, track, and report on operational events through resolution and return to service.
Lead problem-solving efforts on complex technical issues at compressor stations.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) on regional and core projects.
Assist the Operating Areas in scoping and quoting complex materials orders.
Help define scope and cost estimates for maintenance, repair activities, and projects.
Support or lead the development of material bid specifications, review requisitions, evaluate technical aspects of bids, and make material recommendations.
Participate in project drawing development and reviews.
Who You Are:
You have:
7+ years of related experience and a related university degree OR 10+ years of field operations experience OR an equivalent mix of formal education and related experience.
A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, which will be verified upon hire.
You can:
Demonstrate expertise in electrical and control system troubleshooting and programming.
Provide strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
Show competency in compressor station and pipeline system operations.
Understand applicable regulations and requirements along with technical expertise in the Electrical/Controls discipline.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills with various stakeholders at different levels.
Prioritize tasks, follow instructions, and work effectively in a team environment.
Work independently with limited supervision.
Coordinate and direct the work of others.
Train, evaluate competency, and recommend training for others in the Electrical/Controls field.
Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Perform well in rapidly evolving and challenging situations.
Working Conditions:
Work performed in an office environment with travel to field locations up to 50% and overnight travel as needed.
After-hours calls and/or remote support as needed.
Exposure to elements such as cold, heat, dust, fumes, and loud noises up to 50% of the time.
Overtime work as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirements (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), and hearing requirements.

Include but are not limited to the ability to: understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information; understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions; organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology; organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis; make decisions that have a moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area; understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines; complete routine forms; compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports; and communicate with individuals via telephone.
