Summary
Performs duties in some or all of the following areas: employee relations, training, employment, benefits and compensation management, onboarding, performance management.
Essential Functions

Administer compensation and benefit plans
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
Conduct and assist in all employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
Educate managers on FMLA, ADA, and other options for their employees
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
Compile/verify reports for EEO, ACA, and other annual reporting requirements
Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
Maintain, update, and review all HR documents to ensure compliance
Undertake tasks around performance management
Organize annual employee performance review process
Maintain electronic employee files and records
Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
Benefits billing and reconciliation
Unemployment claims; employment verifications; letter requests
Payroll updates
Data entry of new hires, rehires, and transfers in a timely fashion
Complete all new hire reporting – I-9 and state compliance
Prepare various reports as requested
Maintain a strong knowledge of PLCA union agreements
Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
Ensure compliance with labor regulations
Supervisory Responsibility
This person will have one direct report.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Evening and other weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Minimal travel, if any, is required for this role.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a closely related field
SHRM and/or HRCI certifications are preferred but not necessary
2+ years proven Human Resources experience
Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
Excellent communication and people skills
Preferred: Construction industry experience in an HR role
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Strong understanding of Microsoft programs, Software systems
Excellent time management skills
Communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to problem solve
Self-starter and self-motivated
Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
