Job Summary

Millstone Power Station (Nuclear) located in Waterford, CT is looking for an Mechanical Engineering intern to work in its Rapid Response Engineering department the summer of 2019. Job duties will include:

  • Development of technical documents to evaluate equipment failures and other plant conditions.

  • Evaluation of equipment performance trends including field walkdowns.

  • Development of minor design changes to support station reliability improvements.

  • Support development of major design changes to support long-term station reliability improvements.

  • Support station departments with technical input on a variety of equipment-related concerns.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player

  • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Must be inquisative and eager to learn

Education Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering program at a four-year college or university

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Must have an anticipated graduation date between December 2019 and May 2021
