JOB SUMMARY

Identify and develop energy services and energy asset projects for public sector customers. Provide technical and financial analysis of energy conservation and renewable energy measures for projects. Evaluate existing conditions and conceptualize energy and cost saving opportunities at customer facilities. Participate in the process of securing new customers by building business relationships. Assume active role in the project development and implementation processes – from Sales qualification through signed contract and implementation. Work cooperatively with the Sales, Project Management and Operations teams.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform energy and water conservation site audits and identify conservation opportunities including recommissioning, retro-commissioning and on-going commissioning

  • Perform savings calculations for the identified opportunities

  • Prepare detailed scopes of work for the opportunities to obtain accurate subcontractor pricing

  • Prepare budgetary cost estimates as needed

  • Prepare commissioning plans

  • For projects in construction, oversee commissioning of multiple projects (large and small) including collaboration with development, sales and construction project team members

  • Develop and oversee pre-functional testing, start-up testing and procedures in accordance with commissioning plan

  • Prepare progress reports, equipment checklist, commissioning logs, and final commissioning reports

  • Prepare close out documentation for transition such as operation manuals, as-built drawings, and training programs

  • Maintain accountability for project schedule and cost requirements

  • Develop constructive and long-lasting relationships with subcontractors and customers

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field

  • 5 years of years of experience in energy services or design-build field

  • Ability to prepare sequence of operations for mechanical systems and to perform point-to-point commissioning of Energy Management Systems

  • Ability to do project scheduling, new building commissioning, retro and re-commissioning of existing buildings, system by system commissioning requirements, TAB and verification procedures, the LEED rating system, building code issues.

  • Must be proficient in computer and software such as MS Project, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Building Automation System.

  • Certified Building Commissioning Professionals (CBCP) is preferred by not required. The ability to obtain certification within a designated time frame.

  • Ability to work with commissioning tools and technologies.

  • Valid Driver’s License
