Expected salary range of $116,100 to $129,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The primary purpose of the Senior Responsible AI Lead is to ensure that every AI solution within the organization is designed, implemented, and used responsibly. Responsible AI (RAI) refers to the practice of developing and deploying AI systems in a manner that is ethical, transparent, and aligned with societal values. This position requires strong AI technical acumen to guide each AI solution through the Responsible AI process. The Responsible AI Lead will collaborate with solution owners from various departments across the organization, as well as partner with Cyber Security, Legal, Risk, and IT teams to create comprehensive risk assessments, risk mitigation strategies, residual risk assessments, and implement necessary controls. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this role to effectively coordinate with diverse stakeholders and ensure the successful integration of Responsible AI practice.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Liaison between AI solution submitters and the RAI team to shepherd AI-based use cases through the RAI process. The RAI team includes representation from Cyber Security, Legal, Risk, and IT.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the scope of AI technologies being proposed and coordinate risk assessments based on defined Responsible AI policies.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements related to AI ethics and governance.

  • Provide insights, feedback, and challenges related to implementing AI use cases.

  • Work with other members of the RAI team to improve RAI processes, tools, etc.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate responsible AI practices into the product lifecycle.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences or related discipline with 5+ years of hands-on technical experience -or- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences or related discipline with 7+ years of hands-on technical experience as equivalency -or- 9+ years of related experience.

  • 1+ years of relevant AI experience.

  • Broad technical expertise in Artificial Intelligence, including Generative AI and Machine Learning, including a deep understanding of responsible AI principles and AI governance.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written and verbal).

  • Expert in change management principles associated with new technology implementations.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.

  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, especially Copilot is strongly preferred.
