_About the Position:_


In this role, you willbe part of National Grids E2E Supply Chain team. You will guide and support the E2E supply chain organization and enabling business functions to always do the right thing. This position involves being a confident advisor on approval, regulatory compliance and supplier performance/quality management related topics, in order to achieve timely releases of materials that deliver high quality and outstanding reliability to the lives they will improve.


_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):_

Working in the energy utility industry brings much fulfillment, great purpose and unique challenges. As part of National Grid’s E2E supply chain organization you will be responsible for successfully dealing with and managing materials supplier/quality performance. Job responsibilities will consist of but not be limited to:

  • You will develop and maintain Supplier Performance/Quality programs and processes designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation.

  • You will maintain supplier performance/quality metric’s as well as develop trend data of supplier related processes

  • You will lead investigations and assure timely follow up and corrective action closure to reduce and eliminate supplier performance/quality issues

  • You must be relentless as it pertains to supplier performance/quality; ensuring supplier compliance to product specifications, contractual lead times, customer requirements and quality systems requirements defined by National Grid Engineering, Safety and Regulatory Authorities.

  • You will participate in the supplier selection process and maintain the Approved Products Supplier List and document evidence of evaluation records

  • \You will actively manage the reporting of supplier performance metrics, quality agreements with critical product suppliers, and quality of supplier records and drive supplier quality management review’s with relevant stakeholders

  • You will own and manage compliance with applicable Quality Management Systems; engaging in supplier corrective actions as needed

  • You are a supplier performance/quality Subject Matter Expert

_Knowledge & Experience Required:_

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in an Engineering discipline with 5 years of related experience

  • Proven track record and experienced practitioner in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action methods.

  • Expertise/experience in problem solving with quality tools such as: 6-sigma / 8-D / CAPA / FMEA/ 5WHY etc.

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • Auditing skillsets, up to and including certified SQ lead auditor training

  • Demonstrated change agent

  • Strong attention to detail
