Job Purpose

The InfoArchive/Open Text Engineer must possess hands on development and configuration experience and a broad base of skills and knowledge spanning digital technology, strategy and business planning, user experience design, engineering, and agile/lean development practices. They must possess an entrepreneurial drive to develop new products while managing stakeholder needs and timeframes to broker complex relationships that evolve into real solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as the voice of the customer in the definition of innovative digital solutions as it pertains to strategic business planning, portfolio optimization, performance management and enterprise architecture.

  • Work with our Lines of Business business partners as to identify, define and clarify requirements.

  • Work on supporting the OpenText InfoArchive components installation and configurations for enterprise scale deployment as required to meet project timelines.

  • Work on design and development of InfoArchive applications, search screens as required to meet project timelines.

  • Work on Extraction, transformation, integration and loading of data from the source system to InfoArchive as required to meet project timelines.

  • Ensure performance and reliability of the InfoArchive solution and related components.

  • Liaison with Customer Business and IT stakeholders to ensure delivery is as per agreed requirements and expectations.

  • Be a valued contributor to evolution of IT Foundations & Tools. Benchmark and incorporate standard/best methodologies.

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

  • Ability to work equally well with a team and independently

  • The capacity for self-motivation, independent initiative and creative problem-solving

  • Diligent attention to detail and strong technical intuition

  • Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with third party suppliers/vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or in related field

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software technologies

  • Hands-On development and configuration experience with InfoArchive and AppBuilde; 3+ years of InforArchiv experience a minimum.

  • Understanding of basic architecture and various methodologies of archiving used in InfoArchive (20.x.)

  • Knowledge and understanding of xDB.

  • Knowledge and understanding of YAML based InfoArchive configurations.

  • Knowledge and working experience in any ETL tool.

  • Should have experience in preparing estimation for Archiving projects

  • Should have experience in Agile Methodology.

  • Working experience with XML, XSD, XPath, XQuery.

  • Good to have experience in Technical and Functional Architecting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OpenText Administrator Certification is a plus
