National Grid Senior Compliance Analyst in Waltham, Massachusetts
_About the Position:_* *
Reporting to the Director of Business Planning & Performance within the Transmission, Generation and Energy Procurement Business Unit, this role provides analytical and organizational support to the TGEP BU by supporting the delivery of positive financial results, regulatory outcomes, operational performance, attainment of the capital investment plan, and positive stakeholder engagement for the electric transmission, electric generation, and wholesale natural gas businesses. This key role will be responsible for, among other things, monitoring, tracking, and reporting on TGEP BU compliance matters and providing analytical support and insight on business matters within the purview of Business Planning and Performance.
_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):_
Assist with the management of multiple initiatives directed toward TGEP BU compliance monitoring and assessment.
Lead on the TGEP BU compliance initiatives, including Global Assurance and Risk Register processes to provide senior leadership and other TGEP executives with visibility to risks associated with achieving compliance with new requirements or sustaining compliance with existing requirements.
Lead team’s efforts on Business Resilience matters, including Business Continuity Plan.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting for, but not limited to, the Business Continuity Plan, Appendix A compliance, Risk Register, and Certificate of Assurance.
Compile, monitor and analyze all compliance related key performance indicators and support action development plans within the compliance governance framework, non-compliance and control framework reporting, audit interactions, and management actions.
Monitor, track, and analyze Service Level Agreements (SLA) and KPI performance while interfacing with other business units and Jurisdictions to ensure service levels are maintained within budgeted guidelines and performance commitments.
Serve as lead for rate case implementation across jurisdictions.
Serve as the point person for key employee focused initiatives such as Safety Leadership Day, Employee Engagement Survey, Ethics Compliance, Health & Wellness, and acts as the team’s Compliance, Safety, and Employee Survey Champion.
Support the TGEP performance reporting by working collaboratively with colleagues across the organization and team members on the monthly and quarterly business review processes, including the development of materials for the U.S. Monthly Business Review (MBR), the monthly Performance Review Meeting (PRM), Strategic Business Plan (Quarterly Rolling Forecast (QRF)), and other forums.
Cultivate successful working relationships with colleagues/key stakeholders to ensure consistent support on compliance related matters.
_Knowledge & Experience Required:_
Experience in compliance tracking, assessment, and reporting, as well as risk identification, performance and reporting.
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment, possessing the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and tasks.
Strong attention to detail: monitors quality of work and checks to ensure procedures are followed.
Adaptability: is receptive to change and is willing to alter ideas or opinions based upon new information or contrary evidence.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to make recommendations based on analysis; knowledge of PEX or process improvement methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively with various departments across all levels.
Demonstrated leadership and engagement skills.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong process management experience.
Project management experience a plus.
Knowledge of electric and gas utility operations, with electric transmission a plus.
Demonstrated ability to influence others.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, economics or engineering with an advanced degree preferred and at least 3 years of business and/or supervisory experience.
Experience in performance management, reporting, metric tracking, and working with key internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work well across all company functions with staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills and experience with dealing with senior executives and other leaders across a matrixed organization.
