National Grid Performance Excellence Analyst (Assoc., Sr.) in Waltham, Massachusetts
_About the Position:_
The candidate will be expected to support the following strategic and support activities withinNational Gridto drive value and performance:
Performance Excellence (PEx)
This role involves working with the management team to support the development and implementation ofNational’s GridPerformance Excellence Strategy. The candidate will personally help to support PEx teams and ensure that the new ways of working are established and retained withinNational Grid.
The successful candidate will support all end to end Business Process and Performance behavioral analytics as well as support the overall Performance Excellence Strategy. This role is also responsible for assessing project benefits and identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience. The candidate will be required to use all available tools and resources to thoroughly analyze and assess operational performance and customer behavior.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to analyze and improve processes using Lean methodology. The candidate facilitates the analysis, design, and implementation of process improvements, as well as acts as a liaison with all levels of management and staff during the process improvement lifecycle. This role also involves strong project management and project leadership skills.
_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):_
Assist with the identification of process improvement opportunities.
Quantify financial opportunities and benefits offered by process improvement projects.
Provide process focused analytics support to business process and performance teams
Analyze all aspects of the operations experience, including but not limited to, customer experience, key contact drivers and performance
Ensure all analysis supports appropriate operations investment decisions and optimizes operational expenses
Conduct extensive analysis of performance trends and provide insightful business performance reporting
Adhere to all analytic standards and support all process and performance strategies
Conduct adhoc analysis when required
Report impact of process improvement efforts.
Perform effective change management to ensure long term sustainability of changes.
Work and contribute in a collaborative team environment.
Drive independently toward key objectives.
_Knowledge & Experience Required:_
Experience and understanding of Lean techniques.
Identify and manage project risks and issues that impact project progress.
Prepare detailed plans to track project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of project deliverables.
Coach, mentor and assist project team.
Develop internal and external content for leadership team presentations.
Develop and share best practices among Process Managers.
Understand change management, capability build, communications planning and/or learning development (a plus).
Experience with project management techniques and practices.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visio (or related process mapping tool).
Able to meet deadlines and to produce meaningful results in a challenging environment.
Possess strong project management, communications skills.
Able to multi-task and to work independently.
Partner with Finance to develop and track project metrics.
Monitor performance and improvement in key metrics.
Experience in leading a cross functional team to deliver tangible business benefits.
Able to work independently.
Experience working with and influencing key stakeholders.
Possess strong problem solving, communication skills (both oral & written).
Able to present articulately at committees and stakeholder forums.
Act a catalyst for change.
Able to think across different processes and provide innovative solutions.
Understand change management challenges related to process improvement.
Understand line of sight from US Priorities down to individual Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s); able to explain it to others.

Requires a BA or BSdegree or higherin an engineering, finance, business, computer science or technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
Must have the capability for planning, organizing, directing and tracing technical efforts or assigned tasks.
Should be capable of tracking cost and schedule status of assigned tasks.
Ability to take direction from and discuss decisions with supervisor, and to coordinate with peers on projects.
Must have demonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting business.
2 years of analytics experience gained in school or professional career.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
Significant travel maybe required for this position within National Grid’s US.
