National Grid is hiring for a Transformation Change Manager for our IT&D SRM (Strategy Results Management) Organization.
Job Purpose
IT and Digital in National Grid is building a new Center of Excellence (COE) for Transformation Change Management to provide centralized change management support across IT and Digital transformation efforts. The Transformation Change Management COE will be responsible for establishing and continuously improving change management methodology based on leading practices and industry standards, as well as training relevant stakeholders on the methodology.
Transformation Change Managers will, with guidance from the COE Lead, coach and enable Business Unit (BU) embedded Change Managers across the enterprise in the design of change management and culture strategies that aim to drive adoption of exciting new digital and transformation initiatives. They will advise on complex change management implementation issues across a portfolio of programs, ensuring that the programs follow best practice methodology and processes to achieve and sustain intended business outcomes.
They will need to leverage change management expertise to create innovative and engaging approaches that align with strategic objectives and drive successful adoption of transformation and digitization efforts across the business.
This is a hybrid position and will require candidates to travel to our corporate hubs (Brooklyn, NY, Waltham, MA, Syracuse, NY) as required. Candidates must be based in or be open to relocating to MA, NY, NJ, NH, CT, RI, ME, VT or PA.
Key Accountabilities
Enlighten others regarding change management and culture initiatives by providing subject matter expertise
Partner with BU Change Managers in the implementation of change management strategy and support them as needed
Assist in training the organization on the established change management methodology and embedding change management capabilities within the business
Align change management perspective to ongoing culture initiatives and provide change management support and expertise regarding cultural initiatives
Provide change communications best practices to help corporate communications and transformation programs create engaging and compelling messages and assist in development if necessary
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and delivering change management strategies for global or large-scale transformations
Comfortable influencing and collaborating at all levels of an organization
Demonstrated experience producing organization-wide communications and communication strategies
Demonstrated experience creating and delivering training programs to diverse group of stakeholders
Demonstrated client relationship skills working in a dynamic client environment
Strong project management experience, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management
Strategic thinking and solving problems regarding organizational and behavioral challenges
Experience leveraging leading change management practices
Ability to measure and analyze data
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easily understandable written format
Strong facilitation and presentation skills

Brooklyn, NY $138,000 - $162,000 a year
Waltham, MA $129,000 - $152,000 a year
Syracuse, NY $115,000 - $135,000 a year
Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company’s testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
