_About the Position:_
Finance Business Partner, Manager, Procurement, Safety and Business Excellence oversees financial performance of the Procurement, Safety and Business Excellence teams including identifying trends and providing financial insight. Responsible for working with stakeholders to report on performance, reviewing and managing financial reporting requirements and providing ad-hoc reporting.
Reports into the Business Partner Director, Procurement, Safety and Business Excellence.
_Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):_* *
Manages the performance and financial reporting for Procurement, Safety and Business Excellence to identify trends and provide insight through reporting.
Leads financial and performance reporting through reviewing Procurement, Safety and Business Excellence spend and operational costs.
Reports on performance against the Procurement, Safety and Business Excellence budget to provide analysis of performance trends.
Supports Cadence Review Meetings and addresses any follow-up reporting or forecasting needs.
Responsible for working with the Director, Planning, Budgeting and Performance to provide performance and financial reporting to support Finance Operations and Corporate Finance.
Responsible for performance reporting to provide insight on Procurement, Safety and Business Excellence performance to support growth and profitability initiatives.
Reviews performance and financial numbers by comparing current and historical data to report on trends and performance indicators.
Works with Director, Planning, Budgeting and Performance to develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track jurisdiction budget alignment and financial performance.
Partners with finance to implement KPIs to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
Applies US GAAP, SOX and SEC requirements to Service Company reporting activities.
Provides counsel to employees, manages third party consultants and contractors, and advises senior leaders as necessary.
Builds and manages results-driven teams by taking a strategic and technical view of performance management by involving employees in planning, relationship building, decision-making, forecasting, and analysis processes.
_Knowledge & experience in the following areas is preferable:_**
Performance and support function reports
Analysis of business performance
Support function finance
Business unit finance
U.S. GAAP, SOX, SEC requirements and IFRS
Budgeting, accurate forecasting and KPIs
Business performance acumen
Cross-functional business partnerships
Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s preferred, with a minimum of 7 years in finance roles with increasing scope and leading financial processes
Experience in financial management and financial and performance reporting
Strong ability to build cross-functional relationships to create and implement financial metrics and budgets
Common utility Finance practices
Finance systems and business process
Financial acumen and analytic skills
Strong ability to work across department and geographic boundaries
Ability to manage competing priorities through effective planning and execution skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
