NJR is seeking a Graphics Design Intern to work on a variety of projects in support of various campaigns and marketing initiatives, with a focus on helping you gain experience in a wide variety of design skillsets and projects.

What you will do:

Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.

• Create digital marketing content including website, promotional emails, etc.

• Print marketing materials including flyers, direct mail, newsletters, etc.

• Take on ad-hoc design projects, as needed

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for self-starters who are motivated to learn, grow and take on new challenges. Individuals who are flexible, dependable, work well in varying environments and want to make an impact in your community and your company are welcomed here.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or communications with a focus on graphic design

• Solid understanding of design principles, typography and color theory

• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign …)

• Ability to think creatively and attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team

• Effective communication skills to convey ideas and concepts

• Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creative thinking

• Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)

• Ability to work hybrid/onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
