New Jersey Resources is seeking aDesktop Analyst Internto assist the Information Technology team.

What you will do:

Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.

• Field second level technical Help Desk requests in a timely manner; communicates regularly with the users of the status of the request

• Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repairs computer systems; install, repair, or replace components in laptops, desktops, printers, and other peripherals

• Assist in maintaining the telephony network

• Assist in maintaining all mobile devices including but not limited to iPhones, Androids, and radios

• Work with third party vendors when needed to assist with repairs to our systems

• Assist with end user training

• Update the Help Desk ServiceNow system with the resolution to problems found

• Update and advise supervisor of activities

• Assist Help Desk with calls and tracking

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science or related discipline

• Excellent customer service, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality

• Complex problem-solving and decision-making skills including creative problem-solving solutions

• Ability to multitask, analyze and solve problems quickly with attention to detail

• Excellent working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10 as well as related current Office applications

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and wireless infrastructures

• Familiar with building, configuring, and troubleshooting PC hardware components

• Valid Driver’s license as travel; occasional travel to business locations as necessary

• Available to work full time (40 hours per week) during defined intern program dates (June-August)

• Ability to work onsite in the corporate office in Wall, NJ

• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
