New Jersey Resources (NJR) is seeking a Manager-Digital Communications to develop and oversee the implementation of our digital and social content strategy across multiple channels for internal and external stakeholders. Lead NJR’s digital properties and social channels including websites, microsites and the employee intranet site. Collaborate with business and information technology teams to develop and execute a plan to upgrade the corporate internet site and the employee intranet site. Play a key communications role as the company begins a multi-year project to upgrade our core technology systems, which includes partnering with leaders and teams across the business to develop and execute an enterprise wide communications plan that will support the successful implementation of these new systems.

Major Responsibilities:• Digital Communications and Social Content Strategy Development and Execution – oversee and enhance NJR’s current digital and social channels including developing an editorial calendar to articulate NJR’s narrative and vision, highlighting community engagement around charitable efforts and educating stakeholders about NJR’s energy businesses and services; partner with leaders across the organization including content owners and marketing teams and our partners in information technology o Establish and execute an innovative digital and social content distribution strategy that drives consistent and engaging messaging and storytelling o Drives use of visual media – video, photography, interactive digital features and infographics – to tell NJR’s stories in compelling ways o Measure, monitor and continually improve content strategy across all channels to optimize traffic, engagement, sharing and positive brand sentiment. o Manages special digital projects to amplify campaigns and initiatives, which will include developing internal and external microsites and landing pages

• Corporate Website and Employee Intranet Development – work with corporate communications, marketing teams, leaders across the business, information technology teams and outside vendors to develop a digital and social content strategy that will meet the evolving needs of our business and advance our key business goals and priorities; working with a cross-functional team, will develop and implement the strategy for a new corporate website and employee intranet site• Project N.E.X.T. Communications – take a leadership role developing the communications plan for the various phases of this critical project to replace our core technology systems; work closely with leaders and teams across the company including customer service, finance, information technology and human resources• Special Projects/Events – participate on company teams, oversee events and handle assignments for special projects as required• Agency Support – manage agencies and vendors to advance our digital and social strategy; manage projects and budgets to maximize the return on our investment

Position Specifications:• Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital communications or related field is required; Master’s degree or advanced communications certifications preferred• 7-10 years of demonstrated experience overseeing digital publishing processes and leading digital teams; editorial/communications experience delivering smart and effective content-led strategies• Extensive knowledge of the digital platform space and an innovative technology focus• Strong writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in editorial/content development and corporate communications; ability to produce original, clear, concise, error-free digital content within tight deadlines with strong attention to detail• Extensive experience managing a brand’s social media presence across multiple platforms including websites, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram• Agency experience is a plus• Exceptional project manager with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines to meet changing business needs• Strong creative, visual and editorial point of view, and superb verbal, written, storytelling and editing skills• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare and communicate performance metrics• Excellent knowledge of Google Analytics and SEO• Detail oriented with the ability to gather information quickly to respond to internal and external requests• Strong leader, coach and mentor with proven people leadership expertise; high energy, self-starter with a strong team mindset. • Proficiency in Wordpress, plus basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript and all major social platforms; diverse analytics tools; Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other computer skills. Skills in CMS, Photoshop and Dreamweaver
