SUMMARY

Responsible for activities related to station projects and ensures they are performed in accordance with approved procedures, guidelines, specifications, and regulatory requirements and within specific established budgetary and schedule goals and commitments. Prepares scope of work documents and contractor monitoring plans. Monitors department and contractor activities for compliance with schedule, budgets, and other requirements.

Coordinator Project Sr

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, Engineering or Project Management (Preferred)

  • Without a degree, 4 years’ experience in nuclear, commercial or industrial construction/engineering, operation or maintenance which primarily focuses on project management, contractor management, scheduling and cost control may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years’ experience in nuclear, commercial, or industrial construction/engineering or maintenance which primarily focused on project management, contractor management, scheduling, and cost control. (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • (PMI) Certified Associate in Project Management (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides leadership for business critical projects.

  • Scope typically >$1M and <$5M, team size >50. Project have direct impact on Station Business plan goals.

  • Plan, organize, and implement project's scope to ensure on time and on budget completion with safe and error free performance.

  • Develop project plans, goals and budgets including identifying resource needs.

  • Assign individual responsibilities and ensure actions are completed as assigned.

  • Facilitates development and implementation of a project team. Interfaces with department and contractors to provide information to assist achieving project budgets, schedules and other requirements.

  • Develops schedules and methods for measuring results.

  • Monitors budget and schedule activities. Identify unanticipated changes in budget and schedule and the impact from these changes.

  • Serves as Contract Technical Coordinator (CTC) ensuring contractual compliance and all procedural requirements are performed. Develop contractor monitoring plans. Document and communicates deviations from contract.

  • Reviews and gains Supervisor approval for vendor payments based on meeting contractual requirements and milestones. Monitors department and contractor activities for compliance with applicable codes and standards, quality expectations and other requirements.

  • Investigates and analyzes reported problems to determine causes and remedial and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Evaluates corrective actions prop by others for appropriateness, applicability and technical adequacy.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business, Engineering or Project Management (Preferred)

  • Without a degree, 8 years’ experience in nuclear, commercial or industrial construction/engineering, operation or maintenance which primarily focuses on project management, contractor management, scheduling and cost control may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8 years’ experience in nuclear, commercial, or industrial construction/engineering or maintenance which primarily focused on project management, contractor management, scheduling, and cost control. (Required)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) (Required)

  • Ability to coordinate several concurrent project activities.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accept ERO position as needed.

  • Accept outage position as needed.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access.

  • Successfully complete General Employee Training (GET) as required for position.

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Environmental and physical requirements require the ability to don appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the defined role; subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30+ lbs; ascending/descending stairs; ascending, descending, traversing ladders, scaffolds, stairs; working in confined spaces; moving safely over uneven or slippery terrain; working in proximity to loud equipment and possible inclement weather/temperature conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.

  • Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.

  • Normal office environment with some trips to the plant.

  • Travel may be required.

WORK LOCATION

  • Hybrid/Remote – Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business needs.
