4390BRJob Title:Sr Security Consultant - ConstructionRequisition Number:4390BRTitle:Sr Security Consultant - ConstructionLocation(s):IL - ChicagoCompany(s):WEC Business Services Summary:WEC Business Services, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group is seeking a Senior Security Consultant - Construction in its Chicago office providing support to Peoples Gas construction projects. The position will provide leadership, management and oversight for the capital construction security program for the pipeline replacement project and will be responsible for the actual tactical coordination of security needs for each construction project on a weekly/daily basis. Essential Functions:Perform the security staffing analysis based on risks associated with each construction project to ensure they are appropriately staffed utilizing connected intelligence (e.g. knowledge of the Chicago, familiar with the crime stats in neighbors, relationship with local Police Department).Collect, analyze, and modify security plan changes based on security intelligence, daily interaction and input from guard service provider, various pipeline contractors, field coordinators and construction project managers on project sites within the City limits of Chicago.Attend pre-construction project meetings with construction field operations, contractors, and guard service providers at district shops to strategize on forecasted security needs and security support plans for upcoming construction projects.Review status and schedule of in-progress, on-going construction projects at the weekly contractor schedule update meetings.Interact/coordinate daily with guard service provider and prime/tier -1 contractors for unplanned changes in project security needs or location changes driven by contractor(s) and/or field employees.Continuously monitor the capital construction security program’s processes and the use of resources.Requirements:A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Police Science, Security Management or Business Administration is preferred however significant, successful and relevant work experience may be substituted. A minimum of five years’ related experience. Experience in Law Enforcement and/or Military Police experience in an urban environment required. Knowledge of the local neighborhoods, familiar with the crime stats in neighborhoods and relationship with Chicago Police Department and/or local law enforcement agencies.Experience utilizing industry-standard security risk assessment methodology to plan, prioritize, assign, review and evaluate security coverage.Experience in best practice, project management, and contractor oversight.Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.Uses appropriate interpersonal skills and communication methods to build constructive relationships with contractors and business units.Other key competencies include decision making, influencing, fostering teamwork, knowledge of the business and sound judgment.Ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities and tight operating deadline.Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportationInterested candidates must apply online no later than the Removal Date.
