Overview

PPL’s Data & Content Governance Office is seeking a Sr. Content Governance Analyst to be an integral part of the Digital Transformation. She / he is an individual who has a passion for content, discovery, cataloging and controlling. In alignment to PPL's enterprise content strategy, you will maintain the quality, organization, and accessibility of the company's proprietary procedures and related content. You will work with IT and various PPL business groups to implement workflows that leverage appropriate functional capabilities including team collaboration spaces, search, IoT enabled devices, bots, and AI. You will work with subject matter experts to ensure that all knowledge management practices correspond to regulatory compliance demands. You will help foster a digital-first culture surrounding knowledge content that envisions and plans for continuous innovation. This role will report to the Data & Content Governance Manager.

Responsibilities

  1. Be a critical member of the Data & Content Governance Office and is responsible for establishing, operationalizing, and sustaining a program that identifies, defines, manages, and publishes standards and policies for enterprise content strategy.

  2. Implementing Content Governance tool which will enable governance, discovery, cataloging and controlling.

  3. Partners with IT and subject matter experts (including HR, Finance, and the business units) to identify productive, in-context touchpoints for work content

  4. Liaises with compliance experts to ensure that all knowledge content practices adhere to state and federal regulations

  5. Manage records from their creation and preservation through to disposal. Establishing and maintaining records management policies, systems. developing, maintaining, verifying, and evaluating existing systems.

  6. Contribute to a positive culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate.

  7. Collaborate with architects, business users, system analysts, developers, and ecosystem partners to bring innovative ideas from conception to launch at scale.

  8. May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree

  2. 5 years of related work experience

  3. Solid knowledge of information management and content operations best practices

  4. Experience in cataloging, digital filing, taxonomies, version control, metadata/tagging, and maintaining review cycles

  5. Excitement, curiosity, and passion for shaping the future through digital technology

  6. Familiar with content management technologies, trends, standards, and products

  7. Ability to effectively adapt to rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment

  8. Show a strong sense of ownership for their deliverables.

  9. Initiative and passion for finding solutions to ambiguous problems and ability to work in difficult situations and across organizational boundaries.

  10. Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with ability to communicate or convey the results to audience at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Utilities industry experience

  2. Master's Degree

  3. Library science or enterprise content management experience
