Description

The Broad Engagement Stakeholder Lead is responsible for the creation of the enhanced stakeholder engagement model for the next Transmission Price Control (RIIO T2).

You will be responsible for the delivery of a stakeholder focussed business plan as co-created by the Transmission Stakeholder Panel. This Panel will ultimately lead to stronger relationships, more effective and efficient business plans, higher levels of stakeholder satisfaction and robust stakeholder submissions for OFGEM.

Your tasks will include:

  • Effective management of stakeholder, community and customer relationships to deliver a robust and well justifiedbusiness plan that has been co-created and approved by Stakeholders, meets all regulatory requirements and aligns with existing BAU stakeholder engagement activity

  • Develop appropriate Transmission Stakeholder Group in line with Regulator requirements to support theenhanced stakeholder engagement model for transmission

  • Develop and co-ordinate the assurance programme that will be at the heart of the Transmission Stakeholder Group and all stakeholder activities. To give the Regulator comfort that the Transmission Stakeholder Group is acting independently of SPEN and providing adequate challenge. And to provide assurance that stakeholder engagement is being carried out as per the regulatory requirements

  • Build and drive an active engagement strategy; leverage the market using technical expertise and engagement with a broad and inclusive group of stakeholders.

  • Continually seek stakeholder feedback and commission research, analyse outputs and evaluate feedback from internal and external sources

  • Support the development of stakeholder engagement skills, knowledge and behaviours across the RIIO2 team and the wider business

  • Organise and facilitate high profile stakeholder events to raise stakeholder awareness of RIIO T2 issues, understand stakeholder priorities or to get feedback on certain topics or issues as required by the business. Develop a stakeholder engagement plan for RIIO-T2 – including Treasury, Government (Scottish and National) and Senior Execs.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment

  • Knowledge of the enhanced engagement models in the water / airline sector is advantageous

  • Expert commercial awareness; proven track record of effective stakeholder and customer service engagement and management

  • Excellent planning and organisation skills; ability to work to tight deadlines; experience of Project Management activities

  • Ability to communicate and present information effectively at all levels

  • Ability to effectively influence to deliver personal and strategic objectives

  • Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges

  • Evidence of strong customer and stakeholder management skills

  • Computer literacy

  • Must be a team player with a flexible attitude and good inter-personal skills

  • Availability to travel as required across the UK
