BWX Technologies, Inc., is seeking a Quality Control Dimensional Inspector for its facility located in Lynchburg, VA.
Job Qualifications / Requirements:
Graduation from the Machine Tool & Quality Program at Central Virginia Community College OR Dimensional Inspection Program at Danville Community College or other similarly qualified dimensional inspection program is required to be completed by 12/31/2021.
(3) years of manufacturing, or (2) years of manufacturing and (1) year of college (or formal education), or (1) year of manufacturing and (2) years of college (or formal education), or a 4-year bachelor’s degree, or (5) years of general work experience is desired.
Quality Control experience preferred.
Ability to pass qualification examination (if required) in selected areas is required.
Must obtain Workkeys score required for specific job.
Must be able to wear composite toe safety shoes.
Pass eye test for vision and color blindness.
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Shop math, gage methodology, table survey methods and basic inspection techniques.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship
This position with BWXT requires applicants to obtain and maintain a government adjudicated clearance. Elements of this clearance include a background investigation under the cognizance of both BWXT and the U. S. government. Background investigations include but are not limited to reviews of criminal activity, financial credit standing, previous employment records, personal references, and foreign national association. In addition submission to BWXT and government defined drug testing criteria is required and includes an initial drug test with results reported in the required BWXT background investigation.
US Citizenship, with no dual citizenship is required for this position.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Position requires U.S. Citizenship with (no dual citizenship) ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance which involves an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test and previous employment reference verifications.
