Job Summary:

Knife River is looking for a Crushing Superintendent to join our team. This position will work primarily in the Boise / Treasure Valley Area in our local pits. Responsible to safely supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in aggregate production. To assist with operations to assure that quality aggregates are produced at maximum production levels.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Oversee all aspects of crushing operations. 2. Efficient at multi-tasking and working under short time constraints. 3. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others. 4. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors. 5. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, Lockout/Tagout, safety and environmental regulation compliance. 6. Coordinate with other areas of the company - including subcontractors, quality control, trucking, and plant. 7. Performs other duties as assigned. 8. This position will work primarily in Boise / Treasure Valley area.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 1. 5+ years of proven crushing operations experience and leadership/supervisory experience is highly preferred. 2. Supervisory and Strong communication skills (verbal and written)as well as basic computer skills 3. Valid Idaho driver’s license and clean driving record 4. Strong commitment to quality, safety and customer satisfaction
