JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Hydro Vac Operator

Reports to: Crew Foreman

Job Purpose:

Hydro Vac Operator to join our dynamic Team. This position operates specialized light construction equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Safely and skillfully operates and maintains Hydro Vac Truck.

• Maintains equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventative maintenance and repair tasks.

• Works with maintenance crew or assist as laborer when not operating equipment.

• Trains others on proper operation of equipment.

• Visually assesses work areas to ensure that site have been staked/located prior to commencing work.

• Stake/locate work areas prior to operating equipment.

• Try to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide seamless customer service with quality and timeliness.

• Perform daily equipment inspections and operator preventive maintenance checks.

• Report any malfunctions of equipment or problems to immediate supervisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education : High School diploma or GED

Experience : 5 years prior operating experience with Hydro Vac Trucks

Qualifications Required: Valid driver's license with clean driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL, gas construction experience, strong work ethic, and willing to work in a team environment.
