This position is being posted at multiple levels.
This position is part of the Human Resources Benefits Administration team supporting Team PUD. This opportunity will focus on administering employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, FMLA/ADA/WPFML leave programs, and other employer-sponsored benefits. The role will also support compliance with federal and state benefits regulations, and help implement internal policies, and perform billing and trust reconciliation activities related to benefits.
The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A customer-focused mindset with empathy and care is essential, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and streamlining HR processes. Experience with benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave programs, and wellness programs, is preferred.

Human Resources Generalist I
The HR Generalist I performs day to day Human Resources functions by providing customer service support to District staff while ensuring alignment with District values, strategic priorities and objectives. Performs simple to moderate analytical and consultant duties in support of multiple Human Resource functions. Resolves simple human resources issues, escalating moderate to complex issues. Assists with various HR projects and may lead small HR project. Serves as contact for employees and responds to inquiries regarding HR programs and directives. Areas of assistance include program development, implementation and maintenance for one or more of the following functional areas with flexibility to assist in any functional area as needed: Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Information Systems, Leave Administration (including Workers Compensation), Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and other related HR functions.
Human Resources Generalist II
The HR Generalist II performs day to day Human Resources functions by providing a broad range of support to District staff while ensuring alignment with District values, strategic priorities and objectives. Performs a broad range of simple to moderate analytical and consultant duties in support of multiple Human Resource functions. Resolves simple to moderate human resources issues, escalating complex issues. Leads and acts as a consultant for various HR projects. Serves as contact for employees and responds to inquiries regarding HR programs and directives. Areas of responsibility include program development, implementation, and maintenance for one or more of the following functional areas with flexibility to support in any functional area as needed: Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Information Systems, Leave Administration (including Workers Compensation), Labor Relations, Employee Relations, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and other related HR functions.
Experience/Education
Human Resources Generalist I $72,716 - $90,895
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field;
OR
Associate's Degree Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field, AND
Two (2) years of related Human Resources experience;
OR
- Four (4) years of related Human Resources experience.
Human Resources Generalist II $91,215 - $114,018
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field, AND
Two (2) years of related Human Resources experience;
