South Jersey Industries Financial Analyst in United States
Support SJI financial and strategic planning processes consistent with SJI strategic objectives through the development and provision of on-going analyses related to SJI business operational and capital finances. The individual will be responsible for assisting management in the development and monitoring of annual financial plans, scenario analyses, and financial forecasts. This position requires an individual that can communicate pertinent information through the appropriate channels, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. In addition, this individual must exercise good business judgment grounded in logic and supporting analytics.
Job function will include but are not limited to:
Responsible for delivering insightful analytics in support of strategic initiatives across the organization
Provide on-going research and analyses necessary to support data-driven decisions
Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and/or analytical reports
Research, analyze, and report variances for various scenarios throughout the year.
Maintain and provide improvement recommendations for the SJI financial planning model (Hyperion based), and work within Budgeting & Planning to implement as appropriate.
Assist as necessary in timely and accurate external/regulatory reporting.
Provide exceptional customer service to internal clients, building strong relationships within the company.
Perform all duties inherent in all supervisory, professional and administrative positions. Consistent with all positions in this classification, additional projects, tasks and/or duties beyond what is outlined may be assigned as required.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business related field required.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Access and Power Point) is required.
Strong ability to think critically and perform analysis.
