GENERAL SUMMARY

Provide engineering service and support by performing moderately complex engineering tasks requiring application of engineering fundamentals in support of the design modification, operation, and independent assessment of Energy Northwest facilities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform moderately complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, and programs. Maintain cognizance of certain systems, programs, and projects. Projects may be composed of interrelated elements, for which applications of standards are less well defined. Interpretation of guidelines and adaptation of methods is frequently required.

Develop and review procedures and instructions.

Perform tests, inspections, and audits. Use engineering judgment in evaluating results or findings.

Identify potential deficiencies and initiate corrective action in accordance with plant PER process.

Assist other technically subordinate employees.

Works with moderate amount of supervision and has responsibility for providing technical decisions and interpretations commensurate with experience.

Assure compliance with design and regulatory requirements; coordinate with other disciplines and other departments as required.

Engineering employees are expected to be available and to support the following activities as a condition of employment with Energy Northwest:

•Emergency Response Organization (ERO) including being on-call (24/7) during your required team duty (2 weeks out of every 8 weeks).

•12 hour work shifts during outages as part of our overall Outage support (24/7) including Outage Command Center and Engineering Outage Center

•Engineering duty cycle support (24/7) including call-out availability during your responsible duty assignment. (This is a shared responsibility across all engineering positions).

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and at least one year of engineering experience; OR a PE license obtained by accredited examination and at least one year of engineering experience. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Pay Range:

Salary: $81,862 - $122,792

$102,327 midpoint

Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.

This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
