Developer Team Leader- Mobile iOS (Remote)
Advance in depth emerging technology and software delivery knowledge
Collaborate with business users, system analysts, developers, and ecosystem partners to bring innovative ideas from conception to launch at scale
Extensive software development skills including Objective-C, C and/or C+4. Mastery of Apple’s development tools and development environments and how to deal with different screen sizes
Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text, Core Location, etc.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
Strong knowledge of iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Strong Expertise in developing enterprise applications on iOS
Avid follower of the technology industry and current technology trends
The ideal profile is for someone who has extensive experience working on iOS and/or MacOS X applications, at all levels from product design down to scalable infrastructure
Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and lead other talented developers and work collaboratively with designers
Familiarity with Cocoa, Cocoa Touch and other SDKs for mobile app development
Assist in analyzing and researching new and existing products, procedures, and/or workflow needs associated with business systems
Work in an iterative/Agile environment and be a strong team player
Adopt emerging technologies and launch products / services faster with rapid prototyping & iterative methods
Work very closely with the System Architect and multiple Technology teams to champion the adoption of patterns, platforms, and tools to support the usage and conformity of solution architecture
Manage automation and monitor application integration as code iteratively goes through assembly and product tests
Manages and mentors’ developers on job responsibilities
May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

The Development Team Leader (Lead) designs develops, and tests iOS Mobile apps based on the functional and technical specifications to meet quality & performance requirements. As a lead you will be responsible for the architecture, design, code review, technology build and deployment activities of the iOS Mobile apps. They are expected to be proficient in a variety of technologies and languages (Objective-C, C and/or C++, etc., Microservices, Cloud Architecture and API’s) to develop applications. The lead approaches software holistically, catering to both user experience and functionality. He/She dabbles in emerging technologies (e.g., machine learning, internet of things and Artificial Intelligence etc.) to develop solutions that improve business performance (e.g., proactive customer service, outage management, grid balancing, fraud detection, IoT security). The lead is recognized as an expert in their functional area within the organization and works independently, under minimal guidance from their manager. May have direct responsibility of leading a small team of Developers, as required. Progression to Team Leader level is limited on the basis of business requirement. This role works under the guidance of the System Architect.

Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related work experience or 10 years of relevant work experience
Background in software development and is familiar with one or more software languages such as Objective-C, Swift, Cocoa, Cocoa Touch and other Mobile SDK’s etc.

Familiar with the latest technologies, trends, standards, products, and applicability
Ability to effectively adapt to rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment

Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to unblock critical issues during product development

Master's Degree in relevant technology/industry areas
2 years leadership experience
