This is a remote position, however, we require that the candidate be located within the US territory.
AES Clean Energy (AES CE) seeks a forward-thinking Business Analyst (BA) to join our growing organization. In this position, you will support our business systems administration, analysis, and ongoing development to support our rapidly growing business.
The Renewables Continuous Improvement (CI) team is the horizontal thread that ties together the vertical departments. Driving coordination, collaboration, communications, and efficiencies by applying system-level processes and optimization to keep the full team focused and aligned. The CI team is also responsible for developing reporting infrastructure, metrics, and dashboards to enable proactive management of constraints and focus on increased throughput. The Business Analyst (BA) serves as a liaison between Business Process Owners (BPOs), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and various service providers both internally and externally to deliver process improvements. BAs are responsible for providing analytical support through research, data gathering, BPO and SME interviews, process testing, and reporting.
Responsibilities
Obtain personal knowledge of various tools and applications used throughout the organization to understand their functionality and potential future benefits
Work with the business to document the current state via RACI, mapping, etc.
Evaluate requests from businesses to determine the scope and rough order of magnitude of each proposed process improvement
Analyze requirements distilled from business to determine detailed expectations for what process improvement must accomplish
Collaboratively design improvements and controls, and present proposals to the business for approval of future state processes
Lead User Acceptance Testing activities with BPOs and SMEs to confirm implementation and function of future state process is performing as designed
Validate enhanced processes work in concert with other affected process areas by coordinating End to End testing activities with the business
Deliver new processes by aiding with data migration, train the trainer, and go live activities to cut over to new processes
Requirements
Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with differing priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to comfortably communicate with all levels of the organization
Create comprehensive and accurate documentation
Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced agile environment and a strong sense of accountability
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
Microsoft Office 365 knowledge, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, etc.
Must be located within the US territory
