About Transmission and Distribution

Southern California Edison’s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE’s 5 million customer accounts.

Position Overview:

The Rural Scheduling & Performance Analyst 1 will be a part of the Rural Region Scheduling Department in the Victorville Service Center and report to the Regional Scheduling & Performance Sr. Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting all eight (8) Rural Districts in tracking and analyzing data through the IPSEC process, as well as creating and analyzing various reports utilizing SCE systems to promote and achieve positive results and ensure compliance with various agencies.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Gathers data, documents, analyzes and draws conclusions from the data to create and edit reports. Some of these reports could include, but not be limited to: E1P1 & E1P2 reporting, Daily Cancelled/Reschedule reports, Abnormal Reports, Streetlight Reports & DIMP/CHO reports.

  • Research & analyze anomalies regarding work orders – using Design Manager, SAP & ClickSchedule.

  • Researching, modifying & closing notification in SAP.

  • Input contractor timesheets into corporate databases.

  • Supporting District Analysts with their daily routine and backfill in their absence.

  • Maintain records and reports on scheduled vs actual work completion, crew utilization and other measures.

  • Supporting Storm restoration efforts.

  • This position will require regular travel to the Rural district offices (Arrowhead, Barstow, Bishop, Blythe, Kernville, Ridgecrest, Tehachapi, Yucca Valley).

  • Promote an SCE safety conscious work environment.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience working in an Analyst position.

  • Two or more years of demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Valid CA Driver’s License

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates’ Degree in Business or related field.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills

  • Experience performing detailed analysis, investigating and resolving problems, drawing conclusions from complex data and information, and presenting results to key stakeholders.

  • Experience with SAP or similar Enterprise ERP systems.

  • Experience establishing performance metrics and tracking results to optimize productivity and quality.

  • Experience creating and editing complex reports, graphs, and presentations, using advanced software/system functions, and generating non-standard reports from business applications/databases.

  • Experience planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple assignments concurrently.

  • Ability to adjust to changing workloads and follow up as necessary on multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work well as a team member, in a team environment, and be able to collaborate with peers, clients, management, and other organizations.

  • Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
