In this job, you’ll lead/maintain/oversee the development and maintenance of budgets, forecasts, and expenditures for a large portfolio of major or multi-year projects and/or programs. You will participate in a team effort to achieve all or part of the project controls services described below. In addition, you will work hard toward shared goals, together raise the performance bar, and develop Project Controls team’s “Excellence is Our Mindset” signature by focusing on serving our clients, providing exceptional services to our stakeholders, and always taking care of people.

The Senior Compliance Analyst (SCA) position reports directly to the Resource Planning and Performance Manager (RPPM), a Senior Manager in their respective regions. The SCA provides strategic support to District Managers (DMs), a Senior Manager within each district, and their staff, who are responsible for the regulatory and corporate compliance at their site locations. The SCA acts as an advisor, communicator, and facilitator of site compliance requirements. The SCA, having joint accountability with DMs to ensure operational compliance at each facility, collaborates with various stakeholders to provide direction and implement sound business decisions. This proactive approach mitigates significant fines and notice of violations (NOVs) that can have a moderate to high impact on day-to-day business operations.

The Senior Compliance Analyst would be responsible for all internal facility Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance, as well as coordination of multiple district compliance oversight reviews and administrative work. This includes managing district self-assessments, coordinating, and administrating the various required monthly team meetings, and requisite documentation administration and oversight

  • Monitoring EH&S compliance items and reports.

  • Drawing conclusions based on the data and recommending and initiating action as needed to maintain compliance.

  • Developing and coordinating various business compliance plans (i.e., SPCC plans, Emergency Evacuation, Blood-Borne Pathogens, and Fire Prevention).

  • Coordinating and executing monthly district compliance audits or assessments (e.g. self-assessments, internal audits, corporate audits, city audits, county audits).

  • Following up on all audit findings with outside organizations.

  • Ensuring compliance training for new employees to the company/district is completed in mandated timeframe (e.g. 30 days of arriving at district).

  • Tracking and maintaining miscellaneous compliance training within the districts.

  • Facilitating maintenance of EH&S Site Management.

  • Tracking and monitoring various agency permits (i.e., AQMD, Hazardous Waste).

  • Supporting District Managers, Performance & Resource Supervisors, and collaborating with EH&S and external organizations.

Qualifications

The must haves

· Five or more years of experience in an analytical role

The preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience with spreadsheet databases (e.g. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel) and word processing software (e.g. Microsoft Word).

  • Demonstrated experience identifying and analyzing issues, gathering, and researching information, and developing/implementing recommendations.

  • Demonstrated experience understanding and interpreting technical language.

  • Demonstrated experience using the advanced features of business applications and software tools and creating/editing complex and large reports.

  • Demonstrated experience with project management tools and methods to support and/or manage single projects, gain support from stakeholders, monitor and report project status, and coordinate activities to ensure timely delivery.

  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused, to understand and appropriately respond to manager’s and clients’ business needs, and interface effectively and/or collaborate with others.

  • Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to be detailed oriented and thorough.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results.

  • Demonstrated experience with Environmental Health & Safety and operational compliance issues related to Design, Construction and Maintenance.

  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, as well as the Internet and Outlook.

· Work Mode: Effective January 2022, the position’s work mode is hybrid . Employee will work a number of days on-site or in the field.
