Core Responsibilities
The Provisional Customer Field Representative positions require Pre-employment testing to qualify for employment.
If a vacancy becomes available and you meet the minimum qualifications of the position, you may be contacted. Business needs may cause Con Edison to cancel or delay filling position at any time during the selection process.
Con Edison is seeking to hire full time Provisional Customer Field Representatives to read electric and gas meters as well as perform field collection activities throughout Con Edison service territory based on operating needs, (Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan and Westchester). The Provisional Customer Field Representative is a temporary position and will continue until such time as the Company determines that it no longer needs these services.
Communicate with poise, and tact, to handle routine customer interactions in a pleasant and courteous manner.

Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED

- Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
Ability to respond to system emergencies
Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday
Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
Acknowledge that if selected, must pass a Physical Abilites Test (PAT)
