About this Role

Responsible for monitoring and analyzing the regions job costs, financial expenditures and financial processes.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for month end close process for regional area.

• Prepare, analyze and distribute various job cost reports

• Audit liaison for contract and corporate audits.

• Recommend and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and procedures

• Improve current systems and processes, and initiate corrective actions

• Implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting accounting information

• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce monthly and year-end financial documents/reports

• Identify and address any accounting discrepancies, and respond to inquiries

• Work closely with the financial management team to provide recommendations, and produce periodic activity updates for upper management based on findings

• Ensure financial reports are up-to-date, and compliant with standards

• Maintain and update the status of Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables

• Maintain job cost system, and prepare/process monthly region financial statements

• Review revenue and expenditure variance analysis report

• Ensure proper maintenance, filling, and storage of records in the event of an audit

• All other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Strong knowledge of the Construction/Utility industry

• Hands on experience with job cost, financial, and managerial accounting

• Knowledge of all aspects of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Knowledge of standard Accounting policies and procedures

• Advanced power user of different types of Accounting software systems and databases.

• Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations

• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end /year-end close processes

• Working knowledge of data processing, contracting, and purchasing

• Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and collaboratively within a team environment

• Adherence to tight deadlines and quick turnaround for accounting deliverables

• Ability to multi-task, and ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly

• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills

• Outstanding organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, employees, and customers

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Advanced computer skills

• Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. - depending on experience and qualifications.
