South Jersey Industries Scheduler in Union, New Jersey
Responsible for creating a rolling four week work plan for all Elizabethtown Gas field employees based on forecasting models and supply data. Ensures compliance work is completed when scheduled and/or due. Creates models to account for daily fluctuations in appointments and emergent work. Identifies, coordinates and schedules daily workload in support of forecasting & scheduling activities for Union and NW. Reviews forecast projections and generates reports in support of forecast estimates and proposals.
Duties and Responsibilities:o Creating and analyzing a rolling 4 week work plan for all field work, communicates plan to assigned service center leadership.o Meet daily with service center leadership to discuss distribution work assignment, crew make ups and results of pre inspections performed by foremen.o Responsible for reporting scheduling metrics daily and weekly during scheduled meetings to service center leadership.o Perform analysis to determine root causes of deviations from plan and works with region managers in assigned service centers to resolve issues.o Responsible for determining overtime needs for the week based on scheduled work and available supply.o Ensures employee observations and procedural assessments are scheduled by order type.o Configures people in systems based on skills and qualifications.o Adjusts the schedule based on required modifications.o Coordinates completion of steps 3-5 of inside leak surveyo Provides support/assistance to Inside Leak Surveyo Manage Customer Generated Leaks process for service areas.o Work with Energy Connections, Marketing, and Customer Care Center to schedule requested dates for meter changes/repairs, re-routes, etc. o Coordinates meter upgrades with customers, Energy Connections, and Service Center; performs related support activities.o Coordinates new residential/commercial sets between customer, Energy Connections and Commercial Field Technician (when needed).o Coordinates large meter sets with Con Ops and field operations.o Coordinates gas leak calls and repairs.o Report generation in support of scheduling function – analyzes, interprets and creates scheduling metric reports for use in service center performance management.o Enters orders to be physically worked (stopped meters, inactive removes, meter exceptions, misc work).o Handles inaccessible meter process.o IDs new needs paint/AC orders o Monitors & checks CTS for completed needs paints/AC orders, grade 1 leaks, leaks and updates/completes.o Provides support/assistance to support services departments as required.o Working with forecasted demand data, ensures the appropriate resources “supply” are scheduled for each discipline, work group, and order type/common work unit.o Review/Analyze/Implement new processes for Union & NWo Provide support/assistance to NW service departments
Education:• Bachelors Degree in business or related field• 2 – 5 years in a scheduling, forecasting or logistics position
