South Jersey Industries Dispatcher II in Union, New Jersey
A career in Dispatch will provide the opportunity to coordinate all system dispatch activity for the day. This typically includes assisting in both back office and front office scheduling and emergency response. Additionally, this includes being responsible for all short cycle work. Roles within Dispatch are responsible for all dispatch and utility operations, relating to scheduled maintenance and emergency response. This includes monitoring work and processes throughout the day and responding to leaks/emergencies within defined time parameters. The team is responsible for demand forecast planning and working resource management. Compliance and customer interaction are also a focus of the overall functionsâ responsibilities.
Roles and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:â¢ Requiring working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical or operational processesâ¢ Applying experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertiseâ¢ Working within standard operating proceduresâ¢ Working with a moderate degree of supervisionThis role will require broadened technical skills in analytical/ scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. You will understand how the team integrates with others to accomplish the team objectives.It is expected that your role impacts the quality of your own work and team.You will manage your own workload. Your role will have no supervisory responsibilities and typically reports to Team Leads/ Supervisors.Additionally, the level and nature of interaction of your role includes:â¢ Understanding how the team integrates with others to accomplish the team objectivesThis is a role that provides help regarding specific technical problems with a product or service in the company.
â¢ High School Diploma or GEDâ¢ Requires 1-2 years of related experience.
