Job Summary

CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Service Technician I to join our GO TX ETX Tyler Natural Gas Team , located in Tyler, TX.

You will have the ability to: perform company field operations including manual labor and other duties necessary to accomplish the installation, repair, and maintenance of natural gas distribution facilities. Handles customer requests and represents the Company in the community.

Essential Functions

• Initiates gas service, performs leak investigations, and makes repairs.

• Locates gas lines.

• Reads gas meters.

• Conducts load survey.

• Completes work order system documentation.

• Serves as First Responder in emergency situations.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Description

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• No previous experience required.

• Must have a valid state issued driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.

• Must reside within 30 minutes from the Tyler Office.
