Description

TheSeniorProjectManagerwillmanageaphaseof alargecomplexprojectormanagemultiplelargesizedprojectsthatareapproximately $10Morgreater.Thisposition isaccountableforallaspectsof aprojectssuccessfromtheinitialproposal/bidding process,tomeetorexceed theclients’expectations,to theprofitablecompletionofthejobs,withaspecialemphasisonsafetyperformance.Itisessentialtobereliable,self-motivated,goaloriented,organized and professional.Criticalforsuccessareexcellentverbaland writtencommunicationskills,andtheabilitiestoworkwellinteamsand quicklymakedecisions.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain and promoteastrong safety cultureforallemployees,vendors,andcustomersand followallsafetypolicies,proceduresand regulations.Identify and communicateworkplacehazardsandcorrectorseekassistanceincorrecting unsafeactionsorconditions.

  • DirectlysuperviseAssociateProjectManagersand ProjectManagers; carryoutsupervisoryresponsibilitiesin accordancewith theorganization’spoliciesand applicablelaws.Responsibilitiesincludeinterviewingandtraining employees; planning,assigning,and directingwork; providingfeedback;addressingcomplaintsand resolving problems.

  • Workunderminimalsupervisionand provideguidancetoassigned projectstaff,reviewprojectproposalorplantofullyunderstand thescopeoftheworkand contracttodeterminetimeframe,funding limitations,proceduresforaccomplishing project,staffing requirements,and allotmentofavailableresourcestovariousphasesoftheproject.

  • Proactively build and sustain relationshipswithclientsand general/sub-contractors,bothwhileonthejob and through networking outsideofwork.Ensureweareproactively communicating with theclientatalltimes.

  • Conferwith projectstaffto outlineworkplan andtoassign dutiesand responsibilities.Holdproductivemeetingsand presentinformation tobothsmallandlargegroups.

  • Responsibleforcontractmanagement:initialconversationsthrough finalprojectclose-out.Additionallyonceawarded/executed,serveasthepointofcontactforcustomers(internalandexternal)oncontractualmatters,ensuring timelyreviewand reconciliation/approvalofvariations.

  • In coordinationwith field leadership,coordinatesactivitiesoftheprojectto ensureprojectprogressesonscheduleand within prescribed budget.

  • Reviewstatusreportsprepared byprojectpersonneland modifiesschedulesorplansasrequired.

  • Prepareand/orreviewprojectreportsformanagement,client,orothers.

  • Conferwith projectpersonneltoresolveproblemsandescalateasappropriate.

  • Coordinateprojectactivitiestocomplywith governmentregulationsorotheragencies.

  • ResponsibleforthecoordinationoftheRFP process; createand develop thebidproposal.

  • Completeestimating workasnecessary.Reviewbid requirementsthoroughly and askfollow-upquestionsasnecessaryensuring allnecessaryinformation iscaptured during bidday.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 7+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination. Applicants must have proficiency with scheduling, estimating and project controls software. Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, possess the ability to successfully negotiate terms and conditions, and manage tight deadlines.
