One Gas Contract Analyst in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Prepares, analyzes, negotiates, interprets and communicates information from complex legal documents pertaining to leases, service contracts, licenses, software and other agreements.
Analyze, prepare, review, maintain, and/or process complex contracts, records, and related legal documents (as specified by position).
Utilizing discretion and judgment, research and interpret legal documents to ensure compliance with contract terms. Ensure compliance with all company standards, tariffs, policies, and procedures including meeting insurance requirements to satisfy company risk management matrix.
Negotiate contract terms and provisions as required.
Maintain computer database and imaging systems, as well as, hard files for service agreements. Utilize independent decision making to recommend and approve system improvements as needed (as specified by position).
Provide information, guidance, and assistance to customers, attorneys, executives, field and operations personnel, company and contract personnel relative to rights, ownerships, and lease payments (as specified by position).
Compile and analyze reports to management, attorneys, and other company personnel.
Prepare and maintain all necessary approvals, waivers, contractor information including leases and other legal documents.
Provide training and guidance to ONE Gas personnel on database and imaging systems (as specified by position).
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
STRONGLY PREFERRED FOR THIS POSITION:
Paralegal, right-of-way or other relevant legal experience
Formal education or combination of education and relevant experience
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Formal education to include a combination of courses such as math, accounting, business communication, business law, contract law and the following job-related experience:
Experience and thorough knowledge of working with complex contracts, industry and governmental regulations, and plats.
Working knowledge of assigned assets, leases, underground gas storage lease agreements, right-of-way agreements, and contracts.
Experience with application of basic math and algebraic formulas used in various spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge and experience of recording requirements of legal documents.
Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including computers, contract management application software, databases and imaging systems, spreadsheet and word processing software.
Knowledge and training relative to (as specified by position):
Contract law and/or contract preparation
Insurance coverages and certificates of insurance
Data management systems
DOT and Operator Qualification with respect to pipelines
Experience reading and interpreting documents, contracts, leases, industry and governmental regulations, forms, manuals, publications, and correspondence.
Experience conducting internal and/or external research and preparing contracts, records, payments, legal descriptions, land/property records, reports, and correspondence.
Experience interacting, negotiating, and communicating effectively.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license
Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and to other business locations.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
