Executive Staff Assistant
Summary: Provides administrative and secretarial support to the Vice President, General Auditor and Chief Regulatory Compliance Officer, the Director, External Affairs and the staffs of External Affairs and Internal Audit and Compliance with minimal guidance. Independently manages the day-to-day operation of the departments in a professional manner. Handles confidential information with discretion and operates with latitude for independent judgment and initiative. Ensures accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all correspondence, written materials, and other work products. Addresses any concerns that affect the External Affairs and Internal Audit and Compliance, and responds professionally to all who contact the teams. Maintains supportive, positive relationships with External Affairs and Internal Audit & Compliance staff. Provides administrative assistance for the GTC Board meetings and the Audit Committee of the GTC Board. Performs other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Education: Associate Business Degree, Secretarial Degree or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) rating.
Experience: Four years secretarial experience (with administrative duties) with at least one year in which confidentiality is critical. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Microsoft Outlook. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and great interpersonal skills. Experience in, and knowledge of, social media, website administration and email systems administration. Capable of working with minimal direction and displaying independent judgment and initiative, capacity to manage sensitive information, and the ability to demonstrate a professional customer service demeanor at all times.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Certified Administrative Professional (CAP).
