Description: Provides technical support in the Bulk System Planning activities of the Corporation by performing bulk planning studies, generation interconnection studies, and supporting more senior engineers in making recommendations for the best overall system improvements. Develops transmission projects that support internal and external approval for the release of capital transmission construction projects. This will include the ability to independently perform transmission analysis and project justifications.

Education: B.S. Electrical Engineering

Experience: Engineer II - Eighteen months preferably with an electric utility.

Engineer III - Three years in Power Systems with at least two years in Transmission Planning

Equivalent: Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering; B.S. Degree Electrical Engineering Technology; B.S. Degree in a related engineering field with a Professional Engineer license (Electrical Discipline).

Specialized Skills: Excellent computer skills (minimal programming); proficient in power flow analysis; competent financial & economic analysis capability; good interpersonal & analytical skills; and effective oral and written skills.

Must be able to pass a NERC CIP personnel risk assessment screening.
