Rate Classification / Pay Range: $35.78 per hour

Number of Available Positions: Five (5) Regular Full-Time Position

Safety is our top priority at Enbridge and as a Gas Distribution Fitter, you will ensure safety takes precedent in all tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, unlocking new gas services, clearing safety violations, following up on red tags, assisting with installs and much more!

What you will do (Responsibilities):

  • Responsible for maintaining high levels of personal and customer safety and satisfaction.

  • Assuring all tools and equipment are in good working order and are used in a safe manner.

  • Maintain a highly professional company image when dealing with fire and police departments as well as customers and the public.

  • Perform duties in compliance with company and legislation policies, procedures and health & safety regulations.

  • Respond to and investigate incidents and emergencies.

  • Install and maintain meter sets and associated piping.

  • Inspect & activate gas-fired appliances, components and piping systems to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards.

  • Reactivate appliances after service interruption.

  • Create and complete accurate paperwork to record all services performed.

  • Receive and complete work assignments using computer-based technology.

Who you are (Qualifications):

  • Minimum secondary school education or equivalent.

  • TSSA Gas Technician 1.

  • Possession of a valid class 'G' driver's license and a good driving record.

  • Must be well groomed and maintain a positive public image.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers.

  • Preferred comprehensive knowledge of company service procedures, operations, maintenance policy and procedure manuals.

  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

  • Preferred comprehensive knowledge of company records systems including the ability to accurately interpret and/or make drawings, specifications and other documentation.

  • Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.

  • Ability to perform tasks that require significant physical effort for all aspects of the position.
