JOB TITLE: Coreflex Service Manager


DEPARTMENT: Coreflex – Topeka General Office


PAY RANGE: (Min – Mid)

Service Mgr II: $55,800 - $69,700

Sr Service Mgr: $64,100 - $80,100

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Job may require additional hours as required. The job could include travel up to 90% of the time, travel may be outside of Evergy’s service area.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Coreflex is a service company providing solutions to other utilities in the U.S. The focus of the company is on utilizing lean planning and innovation to transform maintenance and testing of emergency equipment for other utilities. The Service Manager is a company representative traveling to client sites to identify, organize, and perform work as needed. This role may be called upon to supervise personnel and will be responsible for maintaining nuclear standards with all performed work and representing company at locations across the country.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

⦁ Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, test and maintain specialized emergency equipment at customer sites

⦁ Ensure all work is handled with safety as a top priority and ensure the responsibility of Clearance Order holder

⦁ Work closely with the customer to ensure customer needs are met and identify opportunities for ongoing service enhancements

⦁ Ensure accurate and efficient pre-job walkdowns and planning sessions, and ensure work is routed appropriately to minimize waste and increase efficiency

⦁ Provide input into program policies, guidelines and work practices to ensure performance metrics are met

⦁ Ensure alignment of work with Company goals, objectives and performance standards

⦁ Manage and direct the work of contract staff at various job sites, as needed

⦁ Assist in supplier sourcing for materials and work needs


Education and Experience:

A high school diploma and at least 5 years of experience in a related field is required. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform complex diagnosis and repair with minimal supervision. Technical Certifications as noted below are highly preferred. An understanding of nuclear standards is preferred. Leadership experience a plus.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

⦁ Mechanical, Electrical experience beneficial. Powerplant, switchyard, or utility work in motors, generators, and pumps highly desired.

⦁ Experience in digital work management software, scheduling software, and project management software.

⦁ Knowledge of quality record keeping requirements and regulatory environment associated with nuclear power.

⦁ Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds and is expected to wear personal protective equipment as required.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Testing:

Successful candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or vendor certifications from Generac, Cummins or CAT highly preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions will vary from office to field environment. Must be able to work additional hours, both indoors and outdoors, on short notice in all types of weather.
