Continuous Improvement (CI) is a key priority in our journey to be the Premier Utility. In 2020, a centralized function was established, responsible for increasing adoption of continuous improvement practices at Entergy to maximize sustainable value for our four stakeholders.

The CI Operating Model consists of an Office of Strategy Management, CI Delivery, CI Intelligent Automation, and a CI Business Partner focus to enable opportunities to maximize end-to-end value across the company’s Operations, Nuclear, Utility, Corporate, and CBS business functions.

The role of Analyst of Intelligent Automation reports to the Supervisor, Intelligent Automation within the Continuous Improvement business function. The Automation Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation solutions using Automation Anywhere. Takes direction from Continuous Improvement Business Partner and Automation Manager, Supervisor, Process Architect or subject matter experts to design, develop, test and successfully migrate to production within the given timeline for the automation projects across the organization. Able to develop and use reusable components within an automation project. Utilizes process automation best practices to ensure automations meet business requirements and meet stated targets for efficiency. The position will be responsible for providing and maintaining project status updates in Jira.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain technical approach and design to automating business processes utilizing Automation Anywhere software. Work closely with process experts to understand current state business process and functional requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with test teams to execute testing, identify and fix defects. Reports status, issues and risks to Continuous Improvement and Automation leads on a regular basis.

  • Ensure automation projects adhere to set standards, solution architecture, and methodologies.

  • Adhere to framework for automation projects to ensure manageability and maintainability of automation operations

  • Create and maintain automation project documentation.

  • Configure and maintain new automations that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand.

  • Troubleshoot issues that arise in day to day running of automated processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required.

  • Analyze, identify and implement additional resiliencies in the existing automation portfolio

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education and experience required of the position

Automation Analyst I: 0 - 2 years of work experience in developing automation solutions using RPA technologies (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.).

Automation Analyst II: 2 - 4 years of work experience in developing automation solutions using RPA technologies (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.). Preferred: Automation Anywhere

Automation Analyst III: 3 - 5 years of work experience in developing automation solutions using RPA technologies (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.). Preferred: Automation Anywhere

Automation Analyst Sr: 5+ years of work experience in developing automation solutions using RPA technologies (e.g. Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.). Preferred: Automation Anywhere

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Ability to translate user requirements into automation solutions designs.

  • Should be analytical and able to improvise configuration / coding to new situations.

  • Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented.

  • Well-organized with good communication and reporting skills.

  • Analytical skills set with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (preferred: Access)

  • Must understand basic coding practices and knowledge of C# or Java is plus

  • Knowledge and experience with project management and/or process improvement tools and methods is a plus (e.g. Lean, Six-Sigma, DMAIC, Application Life-Cycle, Process Mapping tools (Blue Works Live / Microsoft Visio,Jira), Microsoft Projects, etc.

  • Knowledge and experience with software development and/or software development methodologies (SDLC, Agile, etc.) is a plus

  • Knowledge and experience in developing solutions within the utility sector is a plus
