Summary

Provide analytical services within the SRP Treasury team to help maintain and improve SRP's financial posture in areas of cash, investment, capital and tax management through research, analysis and execution of financing alternatives, investment management, policies, strategies and legal requirements. This includes activities related to and concerning applicable accounting, compliance, regulatory, and operational requirements of the Treasury team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide analytical support in area of responsibility, and to the broader Treasury team as needed

  • Develop, implement, improve, and maintain Treasury’s business processes and practices

  • Develop expertise in support of Treasury functions, including debt analysis; investment analysis; accounting/compliance analysis; regulatory and legal analysis; policy creation

  • Develop, build, and maintain business relationships with internal and external partners in support of Treasury’s overall functions

  • Provide accounting, compliance, regulatory support for cash, debt, and investments to ensure SRP’s adherence to required laws, rules, and policies

  • Provide analytical support to the Shareholder Compensation program, as needed

  • Prepare and/or conduct written and oral reports and presentations

  • Other duties and tasks as needed

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Strong knowledge of financial and capital markets, including issuing taxable and tax-exempt debt; the banking industry; investments; qualified plans; accounting, securities’ compliance, and Treasury systems.

  • Strong math and analytical skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to maintain composure while dealing with tight time constraints

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple, non-routine assignments concurrently.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Demonstrated ability to organize a diverse workload, work independently, and complete work accurately and within deadlines

Certifications or Testing Required

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) helpful but not required.

Experience

  • 5+ years professional experience in discipline. Analytical experience in financial services, accounting, planning, banking, investments, debt securities, economics, taxes, or related fields.

  • Promotion to level 2 requirements a minimum of two years of experience at level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by supervisor.

  • Promotion to senior level requires a minimum of three-years’ experience at level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
